Default Revit removing my tab-indenting on blocks of text

When I go to edit a block of text that has tab-indenting, like general/keyed notes, Revit goes a bit nuts and randomly removes my formatting, forcing me to reformat my entire block of text. Why is this happening?

Because text in Revit needs some attention by the Factory?

Seriously, I know what you're talking about and it is very frustrating behavior. It's tied to how far you're zoomed out/in. The more zoomed out you are, the more "jumping" around you'll see. And there seems to be no way to fix it. The only possible and ugly workaround I know of is to have a single line of text per text box (per line). I know, lame. Unless of course someone out there has found another way that doesn't include "Autocad"

The only thing that really works is basically zooming in the same factor each time you edit the text by using some kind of reference lines or elements like ends of your note text box I see in the image posted. As the notes increase in length you have to still zoom to those same references. It ends up us being a matter of zooming and clicking into the box a few times as a trial and error process.
