    Default Parameter Drop Down List

I want to create a door panel family with an instance parameter for either a wood or hollow metal material. I would like the value of either "WD" or "HM" to be in a drop down slection box so the user does not have to type anything. The material will be included in the door schedule.

Can I do this? I am trying to avoid loading multiple panel geometry just to have the material of the panel be scheduled

Wink Re: Parameter Drop Down List

    1. Create a new Instance Parameter, called Door Panel Material (or whatever you like).

    2. Make sure you follow thru with all the check boxes in the Family Parameter Editor
and name everything correctly and in the correct category.

    3. Save and Load into Project.

    3. In the Project, make (2) new materials called HM and WD for your door panel materials.

You should now be able to change the material per door instance and have the WD or HM
show up in the Door Schedule.

This is without having Revit open and actually trying this, and I may be missing something--but this should get you pointed in the right direction

    cheers.....
