Default export from map to cad

    im using civil3d 2009 and map 2009
i have a shape file with topo for my entire county.
    i have geo-referenced aerial photographs.
i connect to the locations, bring in the photos i want the topo for.
then i bring in the topo with a query to limit it to the area i want.

i then export to a dwg

my problem is that all the contours come in at elevation 0.
there are also 5 labels in each location where i had labeled them in map

i would leave it in map, but its so slow compared to civil 3d due to the large amount of contours, even with a query.

any ideas? am i going about this the wrong way?

If I understand you, you have a shp file that has the contours on it and when you save it to a dwg format you want the contours "Z" property to be at the correct elevation? Then you need to do an alterproperty query on it before exporting to dwg.
    Something like this :http://map3d.wordpress.com/2007/12/1...rom-ned-files/
