Default Revit MEP 2009 Subscription Resources

    Revit MEP Community,
I wanted to alert you to a recently released White Paper on Revit 2009 Best Practices for Subscription customers. It is most certainly "Required Reading". Check out more info on my blog.

If you folks want to be the first to know about such things, subscribe to my RSS feed, which i conveniently have a blog post about.

There will most certainly be a great deal of discussion on this document, so I have spawned a Thread in the Revit Platform forum for everyone to discuss. Please go there for any comments or questions that you want to raise.

    Cheers,
    Kyle B

I had issues trying to download on Vista with IE7. It wasn't until I used XP with IE7 that I could get a download. On Vista I got the error:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site <your url, I didn't want to type it>
    Operation aborted.

The occurred in a second window that opened for IE7 (not a new tab) where the zone shows as an Unknown zone, Protected Mode: On. Normally the Subscription site is in my Trusted sites, Protected Mode: Off.

I'm not sure why the JavaScript button forced IE7 to another zone. Tell your web designers that links are still ok and far preferable to this button mess.

I am pleased to announce two new content extensions for Revit MEP 2009 that are available on Autodesk Subscription Center:

The "US Content Extension for Revit MEP 2009" contains imperial and metric duct and pipe fitting families that adhere to SMACNA and ASME standards, respectively.

The "UK Content Extension for Revit MEP 2009" contains duct fitting families that adhere to the DW/144 UK industry standards.

Please log on to Subscription Center and click the link labeled either "US Content Extension for Revit MEP 2009" or "UK Content Extension for Revit MEP 2009" to go to the web landing page that allows you to download the content. A ReadMe file exists that explains how and where to install the files.

This content was developed based upon feedback from users like you, so we do appreciate your feedback.

    Thank you very much.

The Residential HVAC Load Calculation Extension for Revit® MEP 2009 software and AutoCAD® MEP 2009 software is a residential and light commercial HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) load calculation software tool that determines peak cooling and heating loads for buildings. By downloading this extension, MEP professionals will be able to properly size building mechanical systems for residential and light commercial projects. Architects, home owners, and home builders can also benefit from the software tool on their projects. The extension can be used stand-alone or in conjunction with other Autodesk® technology. The extension is able to integrate with these tools by importing and exporting gbXML.

This Extension is available on Subscription, only.
