    Default Adding the "OD:" information.

I have a drawing that I created from a building polygons ESRI coverage. When I created it, I added 5 data fields to it to identify characteristics of the buildings. They are in the drawing as Mpolygons.

I now want to add new buildings as they come in and add the data. I have added some buildings as closed polylines, then converted them using the MPOLYGON command and used the match properties tool, but I can't figure put how to add the "OD:" data. It doesn't show the fields in the Properties.

    Is my approach wrong?

When you imported the shp file to create the dwg did you tell it to create the object data?

I created that object data by selecting the fields that I wanted to retain and when the drawing is generated, it has all of the data. However, now I want to add more Mpolygons and then add the attributes to each.

Adding the Mpolygons is not a problem, but the "OD:" section at the bottom of the Properties dialog is not there for the newly created Mpolygons.

When you create a new drawing this way, do you have to connect to it in somehow to access the data portion perhaps?

You have to attach the object data manually to newly created objects, the command line is adeattachdata if you're in the Map Classic workspace it's on the map menu under Object Data > Attach/Detach Object Data.
If you are in a new dwg you have to create the Object Data Table first in order to add object data to objects, unless you query in an object that has an OB table attached to it. (or insert)
