    Default Automated Lines?

It looks as though Civ3D '08 will "auto-draw" lines based on the field work. I base my conclusion on a couple of the 3D-tutor examples. Having only used this feature before with a different software package, I am not sure how to code my point descriptions for begin/end line and/or define line types/colors/layers based on descriptions.Could anyone please point me in the right direction to further explore this option?

I attended a seminar offered by a reseller discussing the field to finish process you are talking about. From what I can tell from your post is that it might be in the survey part of your data. I looked over my notes and the surveyor needs to setup his point descriptions as the begin, end, multiple curve, etc. I have not been able to sit down with our surveyor and setup a fieldbook to use yet, but to create the needed field book file, you and the surveyor need to be on the same page. Good Luck and hopefully that helped you out.
