Default holes in assembly to part

Converted user from SolidWorks to Inventor-
Question is; in solid works you can make a hole using hole series on an item in an assembly & it would update to the part file.
Can inventor do this also or is there another way to put hole in a assembly & have the part file update?

    Thanks,

You can use Bolted Connection to do this if you are fastening the parts together.

Otherwise use adaptive geometry at the part level. Works pretty much the same as SWx.

What the others said is good.
A bolted connection will update the part file and drawing. And using adaptive geometry in the assembly also works.

Using a sketch etc in an assembly to create a hole will not update the part file unless you have chosen to edit the part inside the assembly, it will instead appear as a post processed feature (like drilling a hole after the assembly has been created). Not recommended from my point of view as post processing requires extra drawing and annotation when it could have been done in the part file anyway.
And also congrats with the conversion.
