    Angry Drawing Template Huge

I have created a template from an existing drawing. The drawing had about 10 networks in it and a small surface (nothing real serious). The drawing file at this point was about 5 point something mbs. So...I erased the networks, and the surface, and saved the file out and the template is now....5 point something mbs. There is nothing in it but yet it is still the same size of the previous drawing.

Yes, I purged and -purged all Regapps.

Obviously the data is still in the drawing somehow.

Is there a way to clean this up so that it is a normal template size of 700kb?

You can try to cleanup this template but I would recommend starting from a blank template and dragging your styles over. You will have to manually change the drawing and command settings.

To try and find what may be in your template you can use the list command and type (ssget "x") when prompted to select objects. To actually list the objects you have to be in the same space. If this turns up no objects the only solution I can think of is start from scratch as I recommended above.

I agree with Jeff. Copying in styles to a blank file will be best.

BTW Congrats to Jeff on winning the Avatech Challange for C3D at AU.
