imagery in task pane doesn't display in map

I have a drawing that doesn't display the aerial imagery I connect to. It used to display the imagery but I have since downloaded new imagery and am trying to add it to the map. If I do a right-click and "zoom to extents" in the task pane the map zooms to where the imagery should be but it doesn't show up. The coordinate system is being set so I don't think this is the issue. I have tried this imagery in a new drawing and it works. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have ran into the same issue a few times also. Try diconnecting from the image and delete the connection. Then zoom extends and do a save. Now try to reconnect to the image.

I tried your fix and.....nothing. What I did figure out was that the imagery was on one of my layers that I had turned off. Why is the imagery added as a layer when I'm connecting to it?

The AutoCAD layer that is set current when you create an FDO connection becomes the visibility layer. its not great, but that is what is going on, just like xrefs and blocks.
