I find it easier to get accurate and realistic eaves and rake fascias if I do the rake fascias as separate fascias from the eaves.

One of the benefits is that if you create a roof category void to cut the tips of the bottoms of the rake fascias off (horizontal cut on the tails), you can actually make the void as big as the house is wide and deep- and use ONE void to cut all the fascia tips off instead of having to perform the same void/cut operation on each rake fascia tail. If your rakes fascias and eave fascias are made with the same operation, just different segments, you'll get an error that won't allow you to use a void cut on them. But creating them in separate operations (rakes as one, eaves as another) will allow you to use one void/cut on all the rake fascia tips without the error/join from the horizontal eaves elements.
