    Default selecting painted on materials

    Happy Holidays everyone.
I painted a wood shake material on my exterior walls in a project and later on noticed that the shake pattern was actually upside down. Now I'm trying to select the painted on material to edit it, and can't. What's the trick to select/edit a painted on material?
    Thanks,
    Phil

If the surface pattern you are using for the material is a model pattern, you can select it in an elevation view by using the TAB key and then rotate it as you want. If it is not a model pattern and therefore it is a drafting pattern, then you have to edit the material itself and flip it there.

You can do the flip on model patterns by editing the material as well.
