    Question Edit Survey Figures

I have survey figures that need to be modified, vertices moved, added whatever. Under the Survey drop down menu - Edit Figure Geometry shows me Feature line tools. I can do what I want to the figure (listed in the properties dialog as a survey figure). The issue is the changes do not make it back to the db. In the Figures dialog under the Survey database name in the Survey toolspace, the figure information still shows the orginal makeup of the figure. If you select the figure name from the list you will see a highlight of the old geometry in the dwg. What is the process to sync the two?
Any insight will be greatly appreciated!

Select the figure, right click, and update survey data from drawing.

Yeah, sometimes that works, sometimes not. After saving as described, then browse under survey toolspace to survey figure, back in dwg still shows the pre-edited figure. What I have found is to remove the figure from dwg and then reinsert it. Also under the edit geometry drop down there is no Move so I am just moving the grips of the survey figure, breaking the line what ever. Then it looks like I need to create a figure from the new object becuse it is no longer a survey figure and then delete the old figure from the figure db. It seems a bit clumsy. Maybe I am not aware of some tool set.

Just out of curiosity, since I'm not a surveyor and it seems to go against everything I know about survey, why are you trying to move a survey figure?

Red face Re: Edit Survey Figures

    Well,
You create a figure out of a plat or deed, what it is called for in the records by hand. Then a crew locates possible property points in the field - iron pipes, stones, etc.. You then do a best fit scenario of the called for figure to the field results. rotate, translate, move vertices to fit field points. Kinda like a jigsaw puzzle.
I just need to familiarize myself with a new product, Again.
