    Default TL on startup...

This is a bit frustrating... how do I get Revit to start up in thin line mode?

I don't believe that's possible. ughh I hate thin line mode anyway except for the closest of zoomed-in work where you have to snap to a point very close to another point. Otherwise, you can't really tell what is what if everything on the screen is only 1 pixel wide.

    Cool Re: TL on startup...

New Revit users always have a bit of trouble getting used to the thin/thick line display.

Revit displays WYSIWYG---in "thick line" mode--i.e. it displays like it will print.
This is made very apparent when printing sets of drawings, where such things are highly scrutinized and line weights are critical for a crisp set of documents.

Line weight/hierarchy is set in View Properties>Object Styles. You can manually override
any of these in any view, if needed. An overall Project Template can control line styles/
weights/colors globally for the whole project--a very powerful tool.

When you zoom in close--things get clunky--that's why the "thin line" tool is there.
And as Patricks mentions, when zoomed out you want to see the display in WYSIWYG
    mode.

    cheers......

    Can't just type "TL"?

Otherwise, AutoHotKey can do stuff like that for you.
