Default Back To Special Characters. . .

Ok, let's continue this "special characters" conversation. I actually printed the list of special characters that was in the previous topics on this. Things like commas and backslashes and so on. Here's the problem. While all that code stuff works great to get special characters in my drawing titles and sheet views and so on, it doesn't work in the Sheet Index list. SSM puts the code that was typed in my sheet index. So how do I get a backslash or a comma or something in the sheet index list?

Bump. I'm still looking for some input on this one. What do you guys do? Have you found a way to make things like "/" and "\" work in this situation or do you just avoid using them? I run into sheet names like "Floor Plan - Redwood / Elm Units" all the time. But then the sheet list says "Floor Plan - Redwood %%47 Elm Units" What do you guys do?

Most of the time I just work around them... sometime change the case..
for example instead of typing "W/" I us a "w-"
