Default Smart block profile trace routine

I have a simple architectural floor plan drawing containing walls, door swings, windows and furniture symbols. The furniture, however, is made of multiple smart blocks that are comprised of wblocks with critical attributes and specific information by multiple vendors.

I would like to develop a VBA routine that will allow me to capture the plan view profiles of existing furniture blocks from an AutoCAD drawing without capturing/retaining the attribute information. (Only interested in the 2D profile of the furniture blocks I would also like to copy the image to clipboard so that I can paste the image into a different AutoCAD drawing.

Welcome to AUGI...!! You will find a lot of helpful people around here. But your post doesn't clearly mention what kind of help you are expecting from us. Could you be more specific please?

Okay, so what I’m looking for is a VBA code that will capture or trace the 2D profile (plan view image) of multiple blocks to a drawing selection set and that will Copyclip the selection set to the clipboard all in one operation. Because the selection set will consist of various smart blocks with tons of attributes, the capture or trace function shell only capture the objects plan view outline and not the attribute information itself.

The chances of getting a full application code is very rare here (Unless somebody here has enough time and patience for that). You have to take initiative for the coding and then others will be ready to correct your mistakes. By doing so, you will not only get your requirement accomplished, but also learn alot of new things in VBA, the latter being the main objective of these forums.
