    Default Acad 2005 / VIsta

Okay, newbie here using 2005 LT and not needing to upgrade. However, both the desktop and laptop are using XP and they both need an upgrade to a newer faster model.
My question is this.....will Acad 2005 LT work on VIsta and will it still function normally at 32 or 64 or does it affect it negatively at all?

I also looked at prior posts regarding dual core or not and do not do 3D at all but want a very fast unit when I buy it. From what I could glean, dual or quad might assist me as I usually have Excel or web going at same time as multiple cad files.

An IT geek I am not, so any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

A2005 might work on 32-bit Vista - there is no 64-bit version. If it does work it will probably be fast. Dual core will not affect acad itself but may help with your overall mix of software.
