i have been asked by my company to create a data base of survey points and the coding to go with them as we are trying to impose new standards. is there anyone out there with a list of description key sets and the coding to go with them as the thought of identifying and editing every single point type is driving me nuts?

Don't they have a set of codes they are using now?

They have the coding but not the point style necessary to reduce the drafting of the survey.
i dont know if im explaining myself correctly but what im looking for is when the survey is uploaded to cad all the symbols appear where the trees etc are located.

This is close to a question I have. How do you export/import the Description Key file within Civil 3D 2009?
I see where you can import from an LDD project but that's it. Don't see it in datasources, xml or exports.
I am coding it now and have created a copy in the current dwg and now will try to create the keys into another dwg.
It's always something!

You can't export (as far as I know) the description key however, if you simply want it in a different drawing, drag and drop. Drag from the settings tab of one drawing to the drawing area of the other.
