Default Drawing Title For Views. . .

Ok, one more since no one seems to know what to do with special characters.

We have a view label block that is linked using fields to our sheet set data to use for all of our view labels. We have a different one for site stuff that is using a field for civil scale to properly display the view scale on a site plan. Here's the question. . .

How can I set my sheet set properties so that I can pick either view label block when placing the "view label block" through the sheet set? Currently I have to set the block in the properties to be one or the other and then go in and change the properties for the site plan and then change it back when I'm done with the site plan. Too many clicks, help me whittle it down.

    If I understand you correctly...
Does your view label block exist in your SSM template?

All the blocks for view labels and call outs should exist in the template. I think only one view label block can work at time. I just tried to add a second one and my original disappeared.

Why not just create a view label block call it something else and addit to the call out list?

Sorry just some random thoughts....Not sure it will help or not.

Hey Mike, thanks for the reply on this one and the other.

The view label block is in a template file elsewhere and our SS is linked to it through the SS properties. I have one named "DrawingTitle" and another named "SiteTitle". The site one uses a civil scale for the viewport link, the other uses architectural for that. What I'd like to know how to do is to be able to have them both available to chose from in the SS.

So when I right click a view in the SS list and chose "place view label" there is no choice of which label I want to place. It just grabs the one called for in the SS properties. Is there a way to add a second to the properties so I can pick when I place it?

Let me add to this a bit more.

In the options you can add more than one block for the "callout block". That's what I want to accomplish for the "label block for views" too.

    Is it possible?

That's what I figured would be the outcome. I was just hoping someone smarter than me would show me something. Bummer. Maybe a wish list item then?
