    Default Annotation Scale/text troubleshooting

A user is having trouble with annotative text not showing up the right size in paper space. I don't have a lot of experience with it but from what I know everything seems like it should be working, the annotative scale matches the viewpoint scale. But depending if it's Mtext or an annotative leader w/ text there are several different combinations of properties available. What are some things I can check so the text is a predictable height? Also, why do all of the _XREF_XREF scales show up? What do they mean and how can I get rid of them? Thanks.

There are a couple of things you can try, but I would start with setting the annotative scale in model space to that of paper space. Then, right-click on the annotative text/symbols and select set to current scale.

For all the options for annotative scale, open the scale selection bar and scroll to select Custom. Under Custom select Reset.
