Default OSNAP off = sluggish movements

Whenever I turn OSNAPS off, AutoCAD becomes very sluggish. Mouse movements are slow. This only takes place when I activate another command though. When no commands are active, the mouse moves around fine. It doesn't seem to matter what command is used either. With OSNAPS on, all other commands move fine.

Looking at your username, I'm assuming you do a lot of site works drawings? Many contours an such? Well your prob sounds like a selection preview issue (assuming your AC version has sel-preview).

Open Tools-->Options-->Selection. Un-check the "When a command is active" box in the "Selection Preview" group (mid-left). Click OK and check if you've still got the problem.

The trick that has helped me recently is turning off the "Selection Previews".

    1. Enter OPTIONS
    2. Click on the SELECTION tab
    3. Under "Selection Preview" UN-check the two check boxes.

    AutoCAD just flies then.

Turn off DUCS if it's on.
