For the "find selection", the found items that are highlighted in the scene, is there a way to change from the default blue color to some other color?

Is it true that you have to File > Exit every time from your current file if you want to open up another file? There's no File > Close, is that correct?

File Open will let you exit your current file and open another file. There is no Close command.

Your selected items color can be changed under: Tools > Global Options > Interface > Selection > Highlight > Color

Another general question it just came up:

When I type the tolerance level to 0.003 Under Run in Clash Detective, before I click the "start" button, why does the tolerance level set back to 0.00?

Try changing the number of decimal places. Go to Global Options>Interface>Display Units and select a higher number. The max is nine (9) places.
