How do I extract a feature line from a portion of a corridor?

I'm trying to extract a portion of the ETW line from a corridor. When I use the Create Grading Feature Line from Corridor tool and pick the ETW line, it grabs the feature line for the whole length of the corridor. I can't trim the feature line without breaking the dynamic link.

Split your region at the start and end of the feature line you want. That's all I can think of right now.
