    Default Revit Architecture 2009 Model....

Would anyone be willing to do this:

This is my system: Intel Core i7 2.66Ghz Quadcore w/ Hyperthreading (8 cores)
6Gb RAM, nVidia QuadroFX 3700 Graphics Card. Solid State Hard Drive

I am looking for the largest, most complex Revit model, somebody would be willing to let me use to test the limitations of my system. this was proposed by out IT guy at our office to find something like this, because is not being worked enough to sweat as it is. if anyone would be willing to donate a model for this, and I can post some results or whatever after I am done and let everyone know how this system performed with a large/complex model.

Try taking one of your not so large projects and just copy it twenty times. In fact, see how many times you can copy the project before the computer just melts.

I know for a fact a donated model would not get used for a project, no need for stupid comments

Maybe its a bit hursh. Maybe what he ment is that all complex project done in Revit are copyrighted and owned by the owner themself. And not willing to disclosed. And I dont believe anybody here did a complex work just for fun and willing to share. I agree with the other post. Get all the revit sample files and link it into one. And see how far it can go.

Oh, how is the display performance?

There is a saying: ask a stupid questions and you will get a stupid answer...

You may know it for a fact, but nobody else knows what you want that model to be used for. Especially complex... Complex models usually involve a lot of hours to develop and happen to include custom made families and many design ideas that nobody wants to share. It is called an intelectual property. Ever heard of it?

In fact, over the years I have shared many ideas and cutom made families freerly and I usualy do it for a asking but I still can't believe that somebody could ask such a question about the whole model...

I just got back from a street party talking about those very 45 nm chips (or is it 35nm ?) and the new zeon set .....and they are supposed to be cheaper than the 65 nm core 2 quad architecture...bring it on.....(you are still a show off !) envy envy.

I know what intelectual property is. I am surprised a question like this hasnt been asked before actually, and am surprised at the responses I have gotten. if know one wants to give up a model, I understand, again, no need for these types of responses

Just do what was suggested and copy an existing model around numerous times. Or maybe just copy many project models into one file. It's really not that hard to make a file huge. No need to use other people's/firm's models.
