Default Problem When Changing Dimension Style From Viewport

When I change the dim style in model space, it works fine. When I double click on a viewport in paper space and change the dim style, the dimension scales much larger. Why?

Welcome to AUGi and congrats on your first post
It sounds like you're using an annotative dimension, and the viewport is not set at the same scale as model space. Also, look at the snippet I provided. If the add anno scales to objects is on (the one I pointed to in blue), then as your viewport scale changes, the dim will change automatically.

Thanks for the input, but it still isn't working. My dimensions are not annotative from what I can tell. Here's an example of the problem I'm having: I have dim styles set up for 1/2" scale and 1/2" scale framed. If I change a dimension from 1/2" scale to 1/2" scale framed in model space, it works fine. If I double click within the viewport or on the viewport border in paper space, then change the dim style from 1/2" scale to 1/2" scale framed, the arrowheads and text heights are way too big. Any other advise?

Can you post the drawing so I can see it? At least a few lines with the dimension in question.

See if this makes any sense.

Not really. Can you post the actual .dwg file?

Sorry, I've been really busy. Try this. See if you can figure anything out. The problem is not specific to this file, however. So, I'm assuming it's a setting I have wrong.

I found that your Overall Dim Scale setting in properties was set at 24. In Dim Style manager, Fit tab, under "Scale for dimension features", select "Use overall scale of:" and set that to 1.000. That seemed to fix the problem when I was working with the drawing you posted.
