    Default Navisworks Manage Properties?

Okay, maybe I am going about this wrong but here's the general idea...
We're performing clash tests between structural and all the other disciplines. What I'd like to do is get a column intersection from the Properties dialog box (pullout) when I select the column and have it read the "Mark" value that was applied to it in Revit. Can anyone tell me how to get the properties to display that information when I select my interfering geometry location?
Is there a better way to identify the location of the clash points?

    Many thanks!

Hey Adam, I'll just reply to you here.

There are a few things you can do.

First off you can select the upper most object in the tree for the column, then hit the select button, then it will show up in properties.

But there is a little bit quicker method, if you look right above the tree you will see some properties for item 1 and item 2, these are the smart tag properties. So you can go into global options > interface > smart tags > definitions and add column location mark to your smart tags, so now it will show up in these properties (you still need to select the upper most object because navis defaults to the geometry and you cannot change this)....or now you could just turn on smart tags and hover over the column to see where it is.

David, there is some context missing to your reply. So I presume Adam sent you a private message with some screenshots or other files that makes your reply make a bit more sense.

But it is rather difficult to understand your post without the context.

Actually, I'm not Adam, I'm Jeremy, a guy who works with him. I took this issue to him yesterday, he's my supervisor.

I guess he contacted you David with a bit more detail in the message.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try what you suggested!

    David,
Thanks for the tip on the Smart Tag options, that really works well for what we want to do. Very quickly able to clarify where we are in the project when colliding!
    Thank you again!
