Hi All,
I need some serious big brain advice.
Our local Municipality has decided in this current downturn to implement a 100% electronic building permit application process.
They have decided all documents should be submitted as DWF. I'm not sure whether Multi or Single page as yet but that is another problem yet.
They are requesting that all consultants DWF files are uploaded by us, the head consultant and that also we are to number our files as per their system which is based on the AIA numbering. i.e. A-101 (Arch=A, Plans =1, Dwg=01).
We have our own CAD standards (thankyou very much) and especially a numbering system that is a little more complex than this so I am racking my brain what I can do to allow me to submit the drawings within their system but as soon as they are approved the drawings follow ours (and all our consultants numbering systems).
I thought I could use a "SheetSetParameterX" to define a "Municipality Number Code" and then use this to place a field in the title block for them to cross reference.
Then I will submit the DWF as a mutlipage doc as "A-Plans-V1.DWF" type arrangement so that 'our' sheet names are hidden and they will see their numbers on the titleblock somewhere.
Does any of this make sense? I feel I'm going crazy with this....
SSM is still my second favourite Autodesk thingy (Revit is still No.1)
