Default Engineered Roof Structure - DWF

Attached is a 3D DWF of an engineered roof structure (roof truss and bracing). Model was created in ACA 09 + VisionREZ then exported to View by Alpine Engineered Products as a DWF. Roof structure was trussed and braced with View software then returned to ACA/VREZ as a DWF to be imported into the original DWG drawing set and model.

    Thanks

Nice to see the boyz at Alpine are playing so well with ACA. I see they even have the Plates in. Gosh I like Alpine.

Now that is funny! Loved my Alpine with the bass in the back in the 80's!

In regard to Alpine Engineering they are indeed playing very nice. We created a link whereby we can export a model as a DWF to View (Alpine's truss software) as well as to Intellibuild (Truswal's wall panel software). Typically they get a 2D CAD file and they have to re-draw to get the 3D geometry. With the new link they simply import the 3D DWF and immediatelly begin their truss or wall panel work.

Then they can export their panel / truss data out as a DWF and import it back into the original DWG file. This way the builder has all data (model, working drawings, framing, bill of materials, wall panel / truss data all in one file).

Gotta love that DWF! Thanks Autodesk!
