F8 key - Ortho

I'm using 2009 and for months I've hit the F8 key to turn ortho on and off. Yesterday I hit the F8 key and the screen shows a ghost image of some desktop that's not mine and it won't toggle the ortho anymore. What happened and how can I fix it? I've done nothing to the computer to make it change anything.

What make and model of keyboard do you have? Some have a switch or toggle that changes key functions.

It's a Dell L100. Like I said, it's been working fine and all the other F keys are still working. It's just the F8 that's changed. It's making me crazy!!

To test the keyboard, use cui to map ortho to another key. Then, if ortho toggles normally, its not acad.

Thanks for your help. I remapped it to the F1 key. I don't think it's Cad, but a doskey thing.
