Default Wall or column for parking garage strcutre?

Do you use walls or columns for parking garage columns, which are conspicuously wall like on an architectural plan which ignores all of the capitals and beams etc.

I suspect that the answer is "model it correctly, like you would build it".

I happen to be new to parking garages. I'd appreciate any advice.

    Thanks.

I would use whatever structural column family is closest to the column specified by the engineer, unless you want it to appear generic, in which case you could use an architectural column.
