Use Reference Planes, and then make sure Hide ref planes is checked in the Print Setup.
I am sorry ray, but you cannot have all the tools you had in autocad.....
New software, old approach?....nope!
new software, new approach....yes!
Just be careful about going crazy with reference planes, because they can be seen in ALL views that intersect perpendicular to the ref plane's 3D extents. After awhile things can get pretty messy.
I try to keep reference planes to a minimum, and the ones I do have that are permanent (like building datums, etc) I always try to give the plane a name so I and others know what it's for.
We had so many reference planes that I put them all on a workset that is off by default then requested that team members create worksets for their reference planes and keep them off unles they are using them.
Is there a way to get reference planes to not show up on CAD exports?
