AcRxDynamicLinker failed to load

Could anyone help me with this problem.

I recently inherited an AutoCAD customization that is said to be 95% complete through the upgrade from AutoCAD 2005 to AutoCAD 2007.

This customiztion included an ObjectARX.

Currently i can only managed to run AutoCAD with the partially complete customization on the laptop of the person who did this work. Any other PC that i use fail to load this an ARX and reports the following error.

"... Is an invalid ARX file.; error ARXLOAD failed"
or
",,, Is an invalid ARX file. AcRxDynamicLinker failed to load"

There's various reference to corrupt registry regarding the error "AcRxDynamicLinker failed to load". However i get the same error on a fresh new PC and new installation of AutoCAD 2007.

I am new to AutoCAD ObjectARX but is there DLL or Reference library that i need to enable the ARX to work? Where can i find these?

The other problem i have is at this moment i do not have the source code of the ARX. Is there any way to re-verse engineer what this ARX is doing?

It sounds like a solution but i need some one to translate it to English-for-Dummies like myself to understand.

Your problems might be that an Arx compiled for 2005 will not work in 2007 unless it’s recompiled

The solution found to be

In project properties set:
Configuration Properties->Linker->ManifestFile->Generate Manifest File->No
Configuration Properties->Manifest Tool->Input and Output->Embed Manifest->No

This was not mentioned in the ObjectArx guide.
