Question Help: MvPart Builder not seeing my block??

Okay I think I've done everything right, but after I place my my In/Out and select "Edit Placement" the 3D Model disappears. I have attached screenshots to help:

    Bam... no block??

And here's the image of the model that the Content Builder created, so it sees the image fine:

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

well, I've managed to get the connectors working right, simply by placing a POINT at the center of each In/Out connector and using the LIST command to get the XYZ coordinates, then manually placing the connectors when I modify the MvPart. So, I got it working, however I'd still like to know if I can fix the problem.

    Hi Tannar,

I only have limited experience with block-based MvParts, but I think I ran into a similar problem once. If I remember correctly, the reason it wouldn't show the part when I went to add the connections was because the model/block wasn't drawn on the '0' layer.

Hopefully this helps, Buzz probably has a better idea of what's going on,
    -Brad

I have this problem too and dont know why it works on other occasions. The fix i did is described as above, by noting down the XYZ of points. Note: you have to have the block insertion point at 0,0,0 to get the correct points locations.

Hey Tannar, I was wondering if you know how to publish your parts to a library for everyone to use, I have created some and placed the source drawing on the network, but when others select the tool it will open up the dialogue but you cant find the custom ones in the folder that I have created.

If anyone knows how to publish these please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Heather

I have created a custom catalog named Venture Mechanical on the network, then I add this catalog in through Options > MEP Catalogs > Catalogs > Multi-view Part to each workstation with AutoCAD MEP installed that needs to view the parts. Hope this is what you're looking for.
