Default Cased Opening not cutting wall in elevation

I have a door family which is really just a cased opening; inserted into project. The opening is cut in plan, and isometric views, but the interior elevation shows no opening. I have placed into other projects with same results. Any thoughts? (see attached for clarification).

    thanks.

DOOR FAMILY TIP of the day:

In the door family: when the opening is selected the option bar displays transparency settings for both 3D views and Elevations. I never saw this before....fixed my issue.

Thanks for the tip. I wonder when you would not want the opening to show up in elevation?

yes, my thought exactly! I cannot think of anything. I wonder if this option is only related to "new" openings - as in, deleted original, and redefined...
