    Default Removing VPOINTS from NavisWorks

I have a Navisworks file from another vendor, it contains thousands of viewpoint references. If I use the tool in NavisWorks to try to remove them, the process locks my machine (2.0 gig- quad processor, 4-gig RAM). Does anyone know a way to remove them directly from the file prior to opening it? Or a way to selectively remove them in "groups"?

    I feel your pain...

Take smaller "bites" ( 30 or so at a time) when selecting them, and save in between deletions.

Of course, the easiest method is to call your sub and have them uncheck the option to export views to Navis before they export (NWOPT in Autocad).

That might not be the source of the issue. If there are many models from many consultants, and they use Navisworks, and only create viewpoints in the root of their model, when the overall model is compiled all those root viewpoints will still be in the root.

I'm currently battling this issue on a current project where most of the team doesn't seem to "get it" and put their viewpoints in a folder in their own model. <sigh>

Thanks for the sympathy I gave up and learned to live with it.
