Question Timeliner Sequence + Animation = .avi

    Hello,

I have a timeliner sequence all set up in NavisWorks, and i also have a set of views that goes together with the timeliner sequence. How do i get them to become one solid animation so i dont have to to click on a certain view during a certain time during the sequence?

I guess i am asking 2 questions, how do i make this one solid animation (timeliner sequence + the views), and how would i go about making that solid animation an avi file?

    any input would help!

    Thanks!

I had to create an animation that was linked to a Timeliner Simulation. I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but perhaps the process may help you.

First I created an animation by spinning the model around slowly for awhile and "recorded it". In your case, you could create a recording and then add a copy of the specified viewpoints within that animation folder. Once you have done that, make sure that is the Animation that shows within the Animation Toolbar drop-list.

Next, Under the Timeliner tab go to "Simulate" and click on "Settings". Under Animation, make sure that it says "Saved Viewpoints Animations".

Attached is a screenshot of the settings that I used.

There are two types of "animation" that can be linked to a timeliner:
    1. Object animations eg columns "growing" or objects flying in. For this you have to link each object animation to a task in the timeliner
    2. View animations eg the camera spinning around a model while the timeliner runs. For this the saved current animation will start as soon as your timeliner starts, so its a matter of setting your timeliner to a specific length and then editing your animation to suit.
