Default Polylines with arcs to polylines with segments

I see alot of posts about converting arcs/ellipses to line segments but they all start and/or end with a line or arc.

I can't find any code that takes a closed polyline and converts all the arcs inside it to polyline segments while still keeping the entire polyline closed. It'd be great if it prompted the user for the number of segments but beggars can't be choosers right.

Does anybody know where to look?

One of the tools in ToolPac does exactly this. Actually, it doesn't prompt for the number of segments, but rather the segment length.
