Default newby - how to make/insert 2d blocks

What is the best way to insert 2d blocks, mainly into Floor Plans with REVIT 2009? I have a library of standard ACAD blocks which I would like to convert to REVIT objects. How would I go about doing that? Thanks.

    Regards Peter.

There is lots of information in the Help file about creating families (the name for "blocks" in Revit is "families"). Most of the time, 3D families are used for modeling in smaller scales (floor plans, elevations, sections, etc), and then 2D detail component families are used for larger scale detailing.
