How do I print a 2d DWG of a 3d view?
If any of you have used sketchup, you know that you can position the camera in a perspective view of the model, then do an "export 2d dwg" and what you get is a flat CAD DWG file of the perspective with vector linework.
From Revit, I've tried printing a 3d camera view and I've checked 1-black lines, and 2-replace greyscale with thin lines. However, what I end up with is an image file (used a PDF printer driver to print) which still has grey pixels.
What I want to be able to do is print an image file with black lines and no background. Is there a way to uncheck a box for white background?
I used to accomplish this by plotting the flat dwg perspective that I got out of sketchup. ACAD reliably plots just all black lines.
The added benefit of plotting to a flat dwg is that you can use the hand drawn effects programs that work on CAD drawings.
I'd like to avoid exporting the whole model to sketchup or ACAD. My goal here, as abstract as it may be, is to develop a production process from soup to nuts using only Revit.
