Default Label Styles - "Tick" exporting on Current Layer not General Layer

So we have recently discovered that there is no way to export our Civil 3D 2011 files to ACAD with the "Tick" of our Major Stations and Geometry points to be on a specific layer. We do not want to create a separate "Tick" block for each of our 30 alignments in the civil file assigning a layer to each of the blocks, this isn't practical.

Does anyone know how to control the LAYER of the Tick within the Label Style Composer / Toolspace?

    Current Settings:
Tick block settings are layer: 0 / color: bylayer / linetype: bylayer
Default Drawing global settings for this are set to layer "0"
Each Station Label Style under the General tab.... Layer = STA L1, STA L2, STA L3.... ETC.

The text comes in on the right layer assigned via the General Layer selection (STA L1, STA L2, etc.). The problem is only with the "Tick" on both the Major Station and Geometry Point.

See: Alignment > Label Styles > Station > ...settings

    Any help is appreciated!

    Manually...

Create a tick style on layer 0, ByBlock everything. Manually select the ticks for each alignment and put them on the layer you want. You can also use automattic layer prefixing and suffixingt o have Civil 3D Automattically create new layers for alignment labelling for you. That's found under Object Settings. If your style is by block, it will adopt the "block layer" when you convert everything down.
