    Default Clearing non-Purgable items

    Hi,

I'm trying to clean up some standard drawings and I have some legacy text_styles that I'd like to get rid of.
The text_style is being used in an AECC_Table_style.

Can anyone point me to where i might be able to access that table style ?

    Thanks
(I'm working in Acad 2020 but have access to newer versions if they have a 'magic button' )

Use the TABLESTYLE command to edit table styles. There are 3 types of object for a style, Title, Header and Data. Each one has a font property for the text style of that data type. Change the font to something other than the one you want to purge. Or you can edit the table that uses that style to use a different style and then purge the table style.

    Thanks Ed,

I tried that before posting, there's two table styles 'in use' in the drawing, but none exist, and all of the text settings are set to 'standard'.

Welcome to AutoCAD, where you never know how anything is going to work.

Well, if you are interested in a brute force approach, SuperPurge ( found here ) will remove whatever you want to remove, at whatever the cost, meaning it will take whatever references are in the way and kill those too.

Always work on a *copy* of your DWG file, just in case.

If you want to strip down the DWG and post it here with the offending styles, I could drill down and figure it out probably too.

This AECC object is from an architectural product like Revit or AutoCAD Architecture/MEP. Since you don't have that product, you can't edit/purge the style. Without the product that created the style, you would have to use Superpurge like RK, mentioned.

Here's what a normal table style looks like. Notice that the style is used by a table, not an AEC style object.

Thank you all for the help, I ended up starting from a blank drawing, and importing features from the original file.
Made a mess of the preset print settings though.
