    Default cogo points

I'm having an issue with cogo points disappearing.
the situation is this, I import cogo points from a text file. I need to move all of them to a
different location. I create a block of all the points, but when the block is created they disappear from the dwg.
all layers are on and thawed. they no longer show up in the prospector.

this method works for others in the office with no problem.
any idea of what might be causing this issue.

To many variables to give a directed answer.

How are the points inserted into the drawing? Survey database or direct insert?

Is the visibility of the points controlled by a point group? By placing the points into a block definition and removing the points from the drawing database also removes them from the control of the point group.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.

they are inserted using points; import points
    no controlling point group.

Instead of making a Block (creating duplicate COGO Points once Exploded), why not just Move/Rotate/Scale the real one's you've imported?

I don't think it's creates duplicate points when exploded. they do it so it's easier to move and rotate.

Interesting... when you BLOCK the COGO Points, they're removed from the Point List altogether (which shouldn't happen, as they exist as part of a Block Definition).

Typically, when you create a Block the originals exist in the Block Definition, so when inserted and exploded, there logically should be a duplicate of each.

There isn't (unless you perform the Insert/Explode more than once, of course), so great job - Love learning something new!

    Cheers
