Lock families in a project

Hi,

There's a plugin (for Revit 2017-2021) where you can "lock/encrypt" families in a project so they can't be edited or saved.

Does someone have an idea how the plugin is able to do this ?

I know this question has been asked several times without any solutions, but now I've seen this, there should be a way, don't you think ?
