Thumbs down Sheet Count In Sheet Manager. Anyone?

What's up with Autodesk with not adding an option in SSM to count the total or sub-total number of sheets in a plan set; or maybe I missed where to find it in 2005? There is a "SheetCount.dvb" routine out there to automatically count the number of sheets in a plan set. This routine works but I am in the testing phase to be sure it is compatible with AutoCAD in all aspects.
Or does anyone have an Autodesk's solution?

I had the same problem. I ended up just making a Custom Field for the sheet set titled "Total Sheet". When I know how many sheets there will be, I just fill in the number manually.

What I want also is a system variable that you could turn on or off to automatically renumber the sheets as you drag and drop them when they change order or add/delete a sheet. You shouldn't have to renumber them yourself!

Hi. I was wondering if you'd found a solution to numbering sheets.

    Omorah,

    Thank you for the information.

I used the SheetCount.dvb routine and it counted the total number of sheets in the sheet set perfectly.....Is there a way to get the number of an individual sheet within the set, such as Sheet 2 of 30....??

    Any help would be appreciated...!

    Regards,
    Vince

Sorry. I wish I have the information. I have not searched for such routine, maybe someone has made one up. If I come accross any, I will "try" to post it.

Question Re: Sheet Count In Sheet Manager. Anyone?

How does one incorporate the dvb file into the program?

We have the "Total Number of Sheets" as a property in the SSM. Because we label our sheets 1, 2, 3, etc. it's pretty easy to count, but I can understand the difficulty if you name your sheets differently.

You can insert an attribute that is linked to the current sheet page number (see attached).

Basically, you would have this: "Current Sheet Page Number Field" of "Current Sheet Set Custom Total Number of Pages" in your Titleblock.

    I hope that's clear?

    SSMPropEditor might also help.
