Have you tried changing the colour of the hatch pattern? That works for me.

I was wondering if it is possible to change the scale. The wood shake shingles work for the project on which I am working. Though when I plot at 1/4" = 1'-0" the shingles are too small and appear crowded and also too dark due to the density.

Actually in this case - the other way around. The shigles are real world size and the lines are getting too tightly spaced at 1/4".

A. Override the shingles to use a gray line ather than a black.
B. Use a shingle pattern that has a bigger spacing.
C. Just turn off the shingles below a certain scale.

Aaron's more than likely right. I usually just use model patterns. The drafting patterns always get screwy for me. If you use a model pattern, it doesn't matter if your view is 1/8" or 1/4" or whatever, it shows the same. When I did, going to a larger scale made my pattern more dense, thus my answer previously. So if you started with 1/8" and went to 1/4", it would double the density of the pattern.

If you want to adjust the size of the pattern, edit your materials under Settings. What I have to do is redo the hatch pattern, meaning it's like I'm telling it for the first time, "select this one", then the scale adjustment will turn on. Mine stays grayed out unless I take this one step

I am attempting to delete the current pattern and add the edited one. I must be overlooking something as I cannot get a grip on the pattern.
