    Default Propety data format woes

has anyone else noticed an issue with the Lenght-nominal propety data format ?

    heres what happens..

ADT 2007. open a new drawing. i inserted a standard 10'-0" x 10' -0" space into the drawing. ( using spaceadd) then i pick the room ID tag from my tool palettes. Everything looks good.

Then i go to architecture 2008 and do the EXACT same thing. the template files are the same file, & the tool palettes point to the same blocks. Everything looks okay after in serting the room id tag, except now the room dimensions say 10"x10"

when i look at the prpperty data formats they look the same. see the first pic below. it shows ADT 2007 on the left and architecture 2008 on the right.

if , in 2008 i go to property data formats -> lenght-nominal ->formatting tab -> real numbers -> units, and change it to read Inches instead of feet, Then it shows feet in the ID tag.

    anyone else come across this?

I also posted this in the autodesk discussion groups,

i included attachments there, if anyone is interested in looking at them.

What pictures? How about a drawing file? Which ootb template are you using to create a new dwg in 2007 and 2008? If you are getting different results, then you may not be choosing the same template, unless the source files for the tags have changed between releases.

I'm using the office template. both versions of software are using the same one. I checked and check and checked again. Same goes for the Room ID tag.

The office installs are heavily customized, I would have to post too much stuff.

It's simple, In ACA2008 if you set the property data format value to length, and use inches..... you get feet and vise versa.

I posted pictures on the autodesk discussion groups and posted the link to that thread in my post above.

Eventually i figured out that if i set the real numbers units to (none) for both units and unit type. It works properly for both versions. I've attached the screen grab for that to this post
