Default Inplaced Family clone copy not able to move to other position?!

    Another question :
It seems Inplaced Family clone copy not able to move to other position?!
It will only move in one direction. Is there any way to uncontraint the whole object so it can move freely in all axis?

Did you try to move/copy while in family edit mode?
Move/ copy in the same family or edit family / select / copy / close family / create new family / paste in new family
Did you use the "disjoin" check box while move/copy?

These where the things I did wrong

Probably that you created your family on a plan of construction or an view related to a reference plane. For example a vertical plane to draw a truss.
In the floor plan, your family moves only on her plan of construction. To be able to copy in another direction, it is necessary to include the element which supports the plan of construction.

You can select the object in plan and the work plane icon should appear. Simply click disassociate work plane. This essentially makes the object a free instance...

Or do "move" "disjoin" which gives you the same result as Mr Spot noted!
