I have a questions.
To start this off i am not an Inventor user. We use Mechanical as of now.
I have a manager at one of our factories who would like to see our whole company go to Inventor.
We draw all of our products in a fold out view. It works well with our production crew.
My question is: is there any way to draw a square manhole in Inventor and have it create the fold out drawings for us.

I don't see how Inventor can benefit the company but am willing to learn.

Any help would be great.

Without knowing exactly what your trying to achieve it's not easy to help, but I assume by "fold out drawings" you mean flat pattern? If that's the case, then it's a complete doddle in inventor... you start by creating a sheet metal component (using the tools provided) then, when your done, click "flat pattern"... from there you can just add your flat pattern view to a drawing using the same methods as you would for any other component.

I started out using Mechdes, and the transition to Inventor wasn't exactly a smooth one, but now i've settled in, I very rarely look back...
