Default AutoCAD 2007 setting up mouse wheel and button allocations

    Hello-

I'm new to the forum after someone recommended it to me. My new computer has a fresh install of ACadd2007 and I was trying to setup the mouse. Right now, without changing anything when I try and use the mouse wheel to zoom it brings up the "page scroll" up/down icon typically seen on web pages. I thought default was zoom. Also, pressing and holding the wheel doesn't give me panning, it does nothing. I don't know how to configure the wheel setup, any ideas?

Also, I tried configuring a ctrl-shift-click to do my panning, but I hit ctrl+shift, then I have to left click. Is there a way to ctrl+shift then just move the mouse and pan?

    Thanks Steve,

Actually uninstalled my mouse 'bundle' and that was it. They put too much stuff in computers these days to ship with!

    Hey Steve,

One other thing related to mouse buttons. I have a pan setup for mouse button 2 with a Ctrl+Click. However, I have to Ctrl+Click, let go, then hold button 1 to pan. Is there a way to just have Ctrl+Click and hold, pan, then let go.. If that makes sense?

Try setting mbuttonpan to 1. I also have my middle button (the wheel) set to "middlebutton" in the mouse software. I don't have to shift click, though, I just click the middle button and hold it down to pan. When I let go, panning stops.
    Hope that helps.

Yeah as per "mutleys" last post I have the middle (wheel) button set as pan, surely thats easier than ctrl or shift and right clicking, does your middle button not do that?
