Question attribute (annotative) in block disappears when changing scale

    Hi All!

I have a block with an attribute (lock position and multiple lines: Yes) in it.
The block is not annotative, but the attribute is. When changing the scale of the drawing, the attribute disappears!
Very weird and I can't fix it. ATTSYNC works for this scale, but when changing the scale and use ATTSYNC, it shows up, but when going back to the other scale I lose the attribute again

    example of my workflow:
    - placing block in drawing scale 1:100 -> ATT shows up. fine
    - changing drawing scale to 1:50 -> ATT disappears. bad
    - using ATTSYNC -> ATT shows up. fine
    - changing drawing scale back to 1:100 -> ATT disappears. bad

Does anyone have the same problem and know to handle this?
I need it work at both scales, because I use this block in different sheets with different scales in one drawing.

    Thank you in advance!

Do you have all the scales assigned to the attribute? you should have at least those two?
It may be working when you do an attsync because you have it automatically adding annotative scales to objects you change your scale?

    Just a thought

Does Attsync bring it back when you go back to 1:100? Have you tried printing it before changing the scale to see if it does what you want?

If so and when you change back to 1:100 and it disappears have you tried attsync again to correct it? Also have you just tried plotting it just to see what it does when it disappears? In my experience some of those more complicated blocks don't always update properly in CAD, but when printing they work. Going to guess in the case of Attsync issues that it won't, but something to try to cross it off the list.

If you set ANNOALLVISIBLE to 1 and toggle the scales, does it show up?

    Guys,

Thank you very much for your detailed help.

I found out that if you select all objects in the block and turn ANNOTATIVE OFF for everything inside a block and deselect everyhing and than turn ANNOTATIVE ON for the block itself, it works better : )
So the ATT doesn't have to be ANNOTATIVE. The BLOCK has to be.

The reason I didn't use this metod was because I thought that linework was not scaling well (tried some time before). I tried again and I saw that you have to do REGENALL to fix the scaling of linetype... Really annoying, because you sometimes forget to regen..

    However, this works

    Thank you anyway!
