    Default Revit 2010 Hotfix

Autodesk has posted at hotfix for an issue related to wall editing....

    http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...linkID=9273944

Note that installation of this file will kill the ability to enable the 2009 UI in 2010. So if this doesn't fix your issues - then make sure you backup the old DLL. Otherwise you're stuck with the ribbons.

LOL, i wonder if this should be taken as a sign that when the next Web Update comes out (or 2011) that the Classic UI hack is really getting eliminated?

Im not using it anyway, but you cant help but wonder...

    Clever girl ....

Thank goodness it's known that the 'hotfix' kills the 2009 UI

I'll certainly not be installing it. Especially since wall editing of any kind never caused me to crash. Only rendering and importing families as well as many unknown issues that never occurred while is was messing with walls.

edit: hadn't yet gotten to the other thread addressing this. Looks like it's being taken care of. Ignore my unhappiness at autodesk!

They haven't pulled the following yet:

I wonder if it was an oversight? There's little trust in Autodesk going around these days Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

Adsk is going to patch this patch to resolve the issue.

    Hey there,
No matter what the UI does or doesn't do...at least I am no longer in Dinosaur Age (hand drafting). With the additional clicks, I just feel more like George Jetson after a long day!

Even Micro$oft would have run some "automatic regression testing" before posting a Hot Fix - I thought that was what "debug mode" was for.
